You know that feeling after a long day of paddling and portaging when you finally get to your campsite?

When the journey’s been tough, good, and the destination makes it all worth it? You know that feeling when the sun sets at 9pm and you’ve been outside for 18 hours?

That’s what Long Days is all about.

For campers, daydreamers
and admirers.

If you spend most of your time behind a screen and even more time dreaming of camping, you’re in luck. This magazine was created in 2025 as an antidote for both.

For most people, camping is a seasonal hobby, and one that’s constrained by time at work, conflicting priorities, prohibitive distance to woods and lakes. So when you can’t go camping, you can get out vicariously through adventure stories, reflections on being outside and stunning photography. We’re bringing the camping to your living room. Or your office or the airport or your favorite cafe. Because the great outdoors knows no bounds.

Camping is a passion unlike any other. It’s dirty. It’s difficult. It’s sweaty. It’s amenityless. Describing your recent trip to a non-camping colleague or friend–and how it took up a precious summer weekend–it can sound downright unpleasant. Oftentimes, camping isn’t a vacation.

So why do we do it? Because there’s nothing else like it. This magazine is devoted to exploring that question and celebrating fiercely the answers to it.

Thanks for reading.
